East

Take a day trip East to the seaside township of Port Fairy the home of the world famous Spring Music Festival each year. The Port Fairy area has many great beaches, shops and cafes and is particularly inviting for those on the hunt for antiques and treasures. On the way there stop at Bridgewater Bay and experience the scenes of sweeping pure sand beaches on the East and rugged sea swells over the petrified forest on the West or watch the seals frolic near the rocks at the point. Bridgewater Bay is well worth the visit. For a shorter trip, visit the waterfall gardens and platypus playground on the banks of the upper region of the Glenelg River near Dartmoor.
